Poem
She was born to be someone not to be traeted like something
Raised in a dangerous city. Well thats what others call it.
Her parents always tell her to dont pay attention to what others say, head help up.
Through ups and downs but she always tries to succed.
She wanted to not fall for games but thats what she always fell for , like she fell from a skateboard.
So she does not pay attention to those little kid games, isntead she is looking forward to teach kids games.

Pwa Essay
The history of slavery was oppresive because of economic exploitation, and there was physical, verbal, sexual, mental, and emotional abuse. In the book, Kindred by Octavia Butler a girl named Dana had a normal life just like me and you. One day she felt dizzy and she fainted, when she woke up she was in another century. She had to save a little boy, Rufus. It was slavery time and Dana was black so she had to be a slave, until she went back to normal and that only happened when she was in danger.She had to go to the other century every time Rufus Rufus was in danger. She had to go to the other century every time Rufus was in danger. Rufus dad, the master and Rufus mom treated Dana bad since she was a black slave. When Rufus was younger he was very different from the other people, as he as growing he started to be like his father. He was more oppressive and he started to deal slaves.Slaves were considered “Property.” Some slaves were also considered moveable property, if the owner died the slave was passed onto the slaves son or daughter. “And i knew why Rufus used his whip on “Niggers” as well as horses.” This quote from the book Kindred is saying that the white masters would whip on the slaves like he whipped an animal. Slaves were much treated like animals, they had no rights. Any slave that did not do what the master said, would get whipped.
Me and a lot of other people that go to school are very lucky to have an opportunity to be educated. In the 1600’s slaves couldn’t have an education. In the south there was laws forbidding slaves to read or write. “It was dangerous to educate slaves, they warned.” This quote from the book Kindred is saying that it would be bad for any slave cought educating. Margaret Douglass as cought teaching black children and she was convicted and imprisoned for her actions.
Slavery was so oppresive that some slaves would escape, commit suicide, and they would do other actions of this type. If any slave was cought escaping the person that cought them had to return them to the owner. There was serious consequences, like whipping. “You need to look at some of the niggers they catch and bring back, she said. You need to see them starving, ‘bout naked, whipped, dragged, bit by dogs..” This quote from the book Kindred is saying that slaves cought trying to escape from slavery would get those consequences of getting dragged, and treated like an animal.
Slaves internilized everything they were told. For example when they were not smart enough too. Slavery really affected slaves. I think that they should of treated slaves more like humans than animals. We all deserve to be treated equally.

School Struggles
Prescriptions that are commonly about bullies, gangs, and alcohol are, that bullies beat up “nerds”, “The oppressors bully and pressure people to join their group”, “When a person drinks alcohol their life is in danger”. This prescriptions are harmful because bullies beat up the people that they call nerds to get their homework money or to just hurt them. Gangs harm people because they get them in their groups. They beat them up so that they can be in their groups and they also make them do what the leaders want to. If you want to get out the gang they have to beat you up again or kill your family. Alcohol harms people because when people start drinking they get addicted and they can’t stop. Then they start doing stuff that is dangerous like driving.
Our school can gain liberation from this forms of oppressions from having these forms of oppression by having more counselors in the school to help students but the counselors have to help not only be there just to be there and act like a counselor they have to take action. the school needs teachers to go out and check on the students that have low grades and that need help so that the students can feel supported. The school needs to not give lunch detention instead they should have a lunch space to help the students.
Our school would be more inseparable without this oppressions. If free from dangers of bullying Oakland schools would be safer. We would be more joyful and better learning experiences . The students would want to learn not to be at home because they might be afraid that bullies would hurt them. They would feel safe and wouldnt be scared to ask questions.

Freedom For Everyone
Liberty is what immigrants need,
Is like saying slavery was fun to have,
Opportunities is what immigrants need ,
But people say immigrants just steal their jobs,
Immigrants feel like birds with no wings,
They cant go no where or else the police ice will catch you,
People say slavery ended,
But i think the opposite of it,
If slavery would of ended,
Immigrants would be where ever they want without the fear of being sent to their other home,

College For All Trip
The College For All trip was a very good expirience. I learned alot of things and i have many similarities with the College students. Something i like about Uc Santa Barbara is that they had a nice view of a beach it was very pretty and another thin i liked about Uc Santa Barbara is that they dont use cars they mostly use bycicles and its a good idea to stop global warming. On the other university , Cal Poly i liked how they milk animals and they sale the milk and i also liked their food. And in the last college , UC Santa Cruz i liked how there was so much nature it was awesome , it was big and they have more latinos. Some similarities i had with the college students was that they have a family that didnt got to college and they are going to be the first ones to go to college like me they also wanted thir family to be proud of them.

The Mask
I wear the mask that grins and lies,
I hide when I feel sad with tears in my eyes,
I cover them with my mask,
